Tin Lithograph Friction Toys

Often people select a certain type of item that they are collecting. Could be that you just collect tin lithographed friction motor toys. Or perhaps you are a baby doll collector? You will find that people who collect are varied in their tastes and for the most part will stick with one particular type of item in the category that they are collecting in.

For example a regular customer in Italy only collects vintage friction motor motorcycle toys. For him it cannot be a car, helicopter, plane, etc. So here is where the difference in collecting styles gets interesting and varied. What I have found, is the most pleasing of all, is that collectors are buying these items not for profit but to enjoy the memories of when they were kids. There's nothing like getting your hands on a toy you had when you were 9 years old and playing with it again. For me, I am a bit of a ham. My all time favorite toy is a vintage piano that was made by Fisher Price. I finally got my piano back, after 40 years and while I don't play with it, I have it prominently displayed in my bedroom for my enjoyment.
